Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Monster Hunter Tri hits a million!

Fantastic! Can't wait to see Western sales for this game once it releases.

A flop, was it? :P

Yes it is a 'flop' when compared to its portable cousins.

You know very wel that it outsold the PS2 - previous console version.

Capcom planned 2 million sales for it. A million in Japan only is a great start.

PS2 games came before the series popularity exploded with portable games. Not fair comparison. Still pretty good sales. Over one million in japan on home console is always great achievement.

it will probably reach 2 million, because nintendo will publish it in europa so problably will have a lot of promo and it can sell maybe 500k in america.

good luck capcom.

jugando ahora: Super Street fighter 4, ninokuni "ds"
playing now: NINOKUNI, Super Street fighter 4, kof 13
waiting for: 3ds to play street fighter 4 and zelda

It's only the 13th home console game to hit 1million sales in Japan this generation, so if this is a flop, what does that say about every other game bar those 13 1million sellers?

VGChartz

I have the feeling it will do good in the west...

It's also a subscription based online RPG.  It's outsold every subscription based game in Japan ever released, including (all versions combined of) FFXI and PSO.
