GT5 is going to be a game changer whenever it is released. Sorry to those hurt by this, but so far buying time is paying of for us. We continue to get more cars on the disc day one. New licenses are being brought in from all over racing. New tracks then get added thanks to those licences. With the complexity of the legal side of things, it is amazing that this kind of game will even exist.

Just think about this;

-Official NASCAR Licence
-Official World Rally Championship Licence
-Official Indy Car Licence

That right there would be 3 $60 games, but GT5 is bringing it all together in 1 package. Then on top of those limited licence games, you have the biggest classic Gran Turismo ever. If this game is $60 at launch, with all that content, I don't care how long it takes. Even if it is a $200 game, and launches in October, that is still 40$ cheaper than if you bought all of these individually licenced racing games.

Just take a breath, and realize what all is going into this game. This is the world of racing/cars in one package.

If I cared about GT I'd be sick of this crap. Still, they didn't have a big game for the holidays (NA/EU) before so it's smart in that sense.

With the news of delay being Japan only sounds like they've decided on a WW release and are adjusting Japan to suit. Of course, it all sounds like they are busy deciding when suits them for a WW release, and with no firm date anywhere they can pick and chose without officially changing anything.

We could have had a prettier GT4 in 2008.

But you want damage, you want weather effects, you want 1000 cars fully modelled inside and out, you want online, you want the physics and sound to be completely overhauled.

Well, you gotta wait.

They need an entire PR team with the way things are going.

Its not delayed it NA, Since it never had a release date.

Well By the time it gets out Forza 4 will be out with more features and more cars.

Looking at the features thus far announced, it looks like GT5 has more content than Forza 2+3 put together, considering it has 1000 cars, HD YouTube uploads, weather, night racing on every track, among numerous other fun things.  Why would Forza 4 change anything?

And what did Forza have to do with this thread?
