God I hope the streamed videos look better than the terribly compressed videos on the Nintendo Channel. Also, I really don't wanna see Mario hit bricks while the video buffers.

Why would you see Mario?  I would bet the interface is going to look like it does when using your computer to stream stuff.

yea, I have the 2 at a time service with blu-ray for $16.99 (plus tax, so $18.35), but I don't have cable TV, and my wife stays home. So we get a lot of TV series off of netflix and can easily watch 4 discs/week + online streaming, which brings costs down to less than $1 per item (item defined as a disc or online streaming show episode or movie) Compared to cable TV at $40 a month, it is great.

This is good news. I already have a media center PC connected to my TV, but this is a nice backup plan if needed.

Sounds like you have a problem with your internet connection for you Wii, in which case netflix through it will probably be just as poor.  The video quality is great on the Nintendo Channel for me.  Perhaps you have your quality set wrong.  There is the Mario when downloading wiiware programs, but never seen it watching videos on the Nintendo Channel.

I have the disc for my PS3. PS3 is in my room, and is on an HDTV. My mom doesn't touch the PS3, but she plays the crap out of the Wii on her bigass SDTV in the living room. This is a win for me.

All she'll have to do is pop in the disc, point at what movie she wants and press A. Good deal. Reserved my disc. Hell we could even watch movies together on the Wii.

were getting netflix now (we had to cut cable out of our budget, but this is a good substitute). I'm really happy about this, because i'll get to watch what i want to in my room, instead of family stuff in the living room.

sorry for double post, but just have to ask. will this netflix disc come in a wii game case, or someother case? otherwise, the poor thing will get scrached to high heaven.

they come in the netflix sleaves. My BluRay disc is just sitting on an shelf, but luckily it is scratch resistant. For the dvd I'll probably keep it in my game case, so it will be a little less convenient.
