Deus ex, oh sorry i will speak up. DEUS EX!. no doubt, with out exception. I still play it through around once a year. Never gets old (ok the graphics are starting to look quite dated) thanks to the freedom it gives you.

Dont want to rain on everyones parade but the decade runs till the end of 2010.

My favourite up until now OOOh thats a tough one.

Probably Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube

Only if you use ordinal numbers.. which is rather uncommon when talking about calander decades? Anyway, most people think of the decade as 0-9, would be hard changing that :p

 

OT: FFX and Persona 4 stands out for me. Probably my favorite games of all time.

We have no choice we are locked into using ordinal numbers ever since the first 10 years of the modern calender

1 AD to 10 AD inclusive.

If some bright spark had seen this coming and had a year 0 AD this wouldnt be the case but everyone was so pleased with the new system they forgot to think about the problems down the line.

A decade is defined as:

1. a period of ten consecutive years

2.a group or series of ten

Technically it can start and end with any year as long as it's ten years in a row.

Now, what do I think were the games that truly pulled so much of my time within the Decade, it was a three way tie for me:

- Super Smash Bros Melee
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
- Gears of War

These three consumed the majority of my time. I had longer play times with these three than any other games.

The DEFINING Game of the Decade: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Still the most brilliant game I've ever played!
