Rumor: Sonic Adventure coming to XBLA

A Netherlands-based Sega fansite recently posted a titillating report received from an anonymous source, who claimed Sonic Adventure would soon be running at breakneck speeds onto Xbox Live Arcade. Accompanying this report is the image seen above, which, in addition to listing the game itself, also mentions an "extend package," which ... well, which we can't say out loud without giggling like schoolchildren.

As psyched as we'd be to see the azure rodent make a not-terrible appearance on the 360, we're going to treat this with as much apprehension as we can muster until we hear something official from Sega.

it would be nice if sega did release this but it would be nicer if sega just left the whole sonic franchise alone

SA is overrated. It's pretty good, but it was with that game that everything started to go wrong. Big the Cat is probably the worst character in a Sonic game ever.

Not worth it unless it's dirt cheap. After the DC died you could buy the SA games for about $5.

That's great advice for the few people that own a Dreamcast.

Anyhow, this will be a great addition to Live Arcade.

Wow...

Sonic Adventure to Dreamcast, was what Sonic 1 was to Genesis, and the hype met the game perfectly.

Added mini games like VMU Pets was even better...

One of the best games I have played..

 

This shows that Dreamcast games are finally on their way to Consoles again, can't wait..

No, Dreamcast games are not on the Sonic Mega Drive Collection.

It does have a certain wow factor, and is a really good game. But it also has big the cat, and gamma and amy that all have very unpolished gameplay and boring stories (except for gamma) (Knuckes treasure hunting puts me to sleep).

The Sonic and tails stages are almost rock solid though, Had they been the only playable characters in the game it would have been better than 'just' being great

What I mean by overrated is that people say that if Sega made their sonic games like SA1 then all Sonic's problems would be fixed. But that's wrong since the unnessecary characters and other anoying traits of modern Sonic are all present in SA1. In order for modern Sonic to be fixed, Sonic games should go back to the concepts that made the megadrive games so good, concepts that doesn't involve having 5 playable characters and running around in hub worlds.

VMU pets was genious though.
