Sonic Adventure to Dreamcast, was what Sonic 1 was to Genesis, and the hype met the game perfectly.

Added mini games like VMU Pets was even better...

One of the best games I have played..

 

This shows that Dreamcast games are finally on their way to Consoles again, can't wait..

 

It does have a certain wow factor, and is a really good game. But it also has big the cat, and gamma and amy that all have very unpolished gameplay and boring stories (except for gamma) (Knuckes treasure hunting puts me to sleep).

The Sonic and tails stages are almost rock solid though, Had they been the only playable characters in the game it would have been better than 'just' being great

What I mean by overrated is that people say that if Sega made their sonic games like SA1 then all Sonic's problems would be fixed. But that's wrong since the unnessecary characters and other anoying traits of modern Sonic are all present in SA1. In order for modern Sonic to be fixed, Sonic games should go back to the concepts that made the megadrive games so good, concepts that doesn't involve having 5 playable characters and running around in hub worlds.

VMU pets was genious though.
