I forgot they were making a full sequel finally to GW, and now its actually going to be a MMO unlike GW's instance only missions, and its gonna' be free!

Everyone thought Aion was gonna finally take down the MMO giant that is WoW, but it failed, true Aion has style, but it lacks class. oh and theres still that monthly fee...

So since GW2 is gonna be free, do you think we may now have a major contender for WoW finally out of hundreds that continue to fall short?

Personally, I expect the game to unseat WoW as the biggest MMO game on the market would be a game which is drastically different from WoW in most ways; and the only real similarities would be that the game would be easy to pick-up, highly accessible, and amazingly polished. The reason it has to be so different is to provide reason for people to leave WoW, and to get people who left WoW because they were so sick of it to try your game.

define quality, the key to a MMO is the content, amount of the content, and the quality of the content, which WoW had a huge head start with, and PC games don't have the type of generation gap that consoles do in general, especially when comes to MMOs. in a MMORPG environment, nothing tops WoW old or new, and that's me quitting back in 2008 and never going back again saying that. =P

It would be the same thing as asking which platformer will dethrone mario.

How can a free subscription game compete with a paid game on content? Plus, WoW is a juggernaught. On the other hand, I don't play WoW because I don't have the time to make a paid MMO worth it. If GW2 is good, I'm in.

whats up with 2:40 that looks like star destroyer hehe. Trailer is not as exciting as WoW/Blizzards but it looks interesting.
