Microsoft is pimping Natal like crazy at CES and I haven't heard anything about the Sony wiimote. So what's up with Sony??? It's supposed to be out in a few months and before Natal so why isn't Sony hyping it?

cuz they wana hype it at e3 and say it launches next month rather than hype it now and wait like 4 months...look at what happened to home hyped it too early and lost all of it by the time it launched...
I think they'll kick in big time at GDC, and just take it slow up until then.
CES has always been about other stuff such as TV and other electronics. Sony has other products too, and they all going gaga over 3D right now.

Because in the grand scheme of Sony the wand is a very small aspect, their tvs and laptops and things of that nature are far more important. For Microsoft on the other hand, being a software company, natal is by far their biggest piece of hardware.
Time for hype
well, it seems to me that :
- Natal launch is in advance compared to the wand launch
Natal has a name, the wand has no name.
Natal kit have been sent to dev BEFORE wand kit (according to an Ubisoft guy) that is why they have more project on natal
- MS is trying to generate an insane amount of hype behind natal to catch as many as possible new customers with Natal. Since E3, the only thing that count is Natal and Halo REACH. Sure they have games (end 2009 and for 2010) but all that matters is NATAL launch END of 2010.
- At the opposite, Sony has focused a lot to the end of 2009 (price drop, new model, bundle, big games) and is also hyping a lot their early 2010 game (see what they are doing with GoW3 and what they will do with GT5).
At the opposite, we know nothing about late 2010 (see my thread in VGC)
I understand MS strategy but I still miss something in the Sony strategy. Why no mention about the wand at CES ? Is 3D closer to us than the wand ?
wait and see
Time to Work !
I think it came down to focus. They want to drive the message that they are 3D. They own everything in the arena. From the hardware at your house, to the content that you watch, and the hardware and software it was created on. Sony wanted that to be the biggest focus of CES.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

sony its allot wider than ms in terms of variety of products and markets that they penetrate, so sony as to advertise everything in they right place... CES is about electronics witch is a big slice of their cake so they dont want to lose focus on the conferences... there is a place and a time for everything and sony should use that space and time wisely... as i believe they are right now...
Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4
I like the fact Sony is hyping it, and I love the fact most people expect it to fail. Funny thing, from what I have seem gamewise, The Sony version is the one that interest me more. Natal seems like a great application, It will be fun and a revolution, but I want a controller.
