I've got another one: EA will sell a studio or two this year. Closing studios down won't count.

I have one prediction:
3rd parties will continue releaseing games for Wii no one wants and/or not advertise them. Said games will flop and 3rd parties will blame the consumer or Nintendo

Zelda Wii will be in first person.

There will be at least one more first person swordfighter announced, for either Wii or Playstation Arc.

- SMG2 will not hurt NSMBWii´s sales in the long run

- SMG2 will have outsold SMG1 lifetime by the end of 2010

- Metroid: Other M will outsell Metroid Prime 1 (2,83 million ltd)

- NSMB Wii will be at 20mio+ at the end of 2010

- there will be 2 Rare-games for the release of Natal at the end of the year

14) GT5 will be the highest-selling PS3 game of the year Probably right.

15) Halo Reach will be the highest-selling X360 game of the year Probably right. Will top Black Ops easily.

16) Not counting Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort will be the highest-selling Wii game of the year No. NSMBWii will obliterate it.

17) There will be another large update (like VGC 2.0) in the first half of 2010. SUCCESS

18) No PSP games will sell over 3 million units for the year. Looking likely

19) FF13 on PS3 will have outsold the 360 version 2:1 by year's end. SUCCESS. Already almost 3:1

20) The Last Guardian will be the best reviewed game in the series, going by Metacritic (91 to beat) Not 2010. n/a.

It's not too late to predict. Still a good five months of the year to go.

I would say your 84 million is a little low, though it might hit it exactly. It depends on if Wii has a significant holiday dropoff this year compared to last year, but its 72 million now, if it pulls another 10 *holiday,* that plus whatever it sells between now and October will put it over that.

Myself, i'm holding out for Pokemon Black and White to have 3DS versions announced for the Western releases, given that the device will be out by then and Nintendo is definitely going to want to take the opportunity while its there.
