Forums - Sales - Industry thinks Halo: Reach will be 2010's biggest game

GamesIndustry.biz has recently conducted a huge survey of industry members to find out their top picks of 2010. The survey, which reached out to 99,000 members of the business, has named Halo: Reach as the biggest seller of 2010, beating out other hopefuls such as Final Fantasy XIII and even Call of Duty 7

The survey also named Alan Wake as 2010's "Dark Horse," while music games are expected to take the biggest popularity hit. The industry also believes that casual games will experience the most growth this year, followed by action/adventure games and the ever-booming MMO category.

Rubbish. I bet several yr old Nintendo games on wii/DS will probably outsell 1/3 of those titles.

Do believe this was posted before, or I am just having deja vu. Either way, duh! halo will sell a bunch. My little brother could have figured that much.

The top 5 should all be fairly close (Halo final Fantasy, Call of Duty and Star Craft, and Grand Turismo). Final Fantasy and Grand Turismo both have the advantage of being out early in the year! I could also see New Super Mario Brothers Wii continue to sell tons and be right up in there!

I guess they underestimate the power of GT5 (assuming it delivers which I believe it can and will). Then again if we were to believe the industry speculation Wii would have been doomed from year 1 and PS3 would have been the powerhouse (although I would have loved to see that, well minus the Wii doomed part), but reality is waaaaayyy different.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.
