Over 39 million can mean 39,000,001. See what I did there? If there are adjustments to be made, there will be adjustments. Since I've been here VGC has been within NPD safety zones, so that gives you a good idea how accurate VGC. Also, whenever VGC has undertracked, they've adjusted, so it's useless to come here accusing VGC of purposely undertracking the 360. -__- I mean really, don't be such a fanboy.

- Many tracking organizations leave the smaller markets out, ie markets smaller than Japan! So there are units there as well not counted by VGC NOR NPD, NOR Media create, etc, etc. This means there not only might be more 360 out there sold to consumers, but more Wii's and more PS3's.
But I personally believe, until I hear from a credible source, not just your whining, that there are around 2mil 360's flooding the channel, it's not like MS hasn't done this before with other devices it's handled.

Michael Pachter has also stated that Sony and MS have referred him to NPD when he's contacted these companies for those numbers, he goes on to state that these companies also use NPD to estimate retail sales (it's in a Bonus Round video at gametrailers.com). You could do some research and ask these companies what the exact numbers are, it's easier if you're a stockholder. I'm fairly certain, they'll either give you an estimate or refer to another source. I've seen the technology and it works but I've seen business not doing it also, so yes I'll leave it at that. Cheers. |
