Congrats to Sony, though the wording in the article is more than a little misleading.

Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

Great sales but both the title and some of the information is misleading.

Wii numbers stated are for the US only and (as far as we know) December only.

Playstation figures are for December and up to nine days of November including Black Friday.

@Neomatrix: By all means feel free to highlight any potential problems with the numbers but please for the sake of sanity check your facts carefully before making the claim. Way too many new members try to make these claims and 99 times out of a 100 they haven't got their facts straight
