HD Market is flooded with FPS games yet they manage to keep selling fine.

This "Too many rail shooters" excuse does not cut it.

Maybe wii owners wants to be flooded with FPS games and not On-rails?

-Edit-

And I agree with Lolcislaw. FPS games are much more popular and appeal to more players. Bad comparison

Should have bought The COnduit then.  Even Haze managed 800k despite HD consoles flooded with more FPS games than Wii is with rail shooters.

Hmmm... really? I thought some didn't...

Ok... unknown brands, right? The Conduit isn't? Ok... let's move on to others better known... some still don't sell.

Then we have new experiences and brands. Some better than others... But do they all sell? Hmm... don't think so...

But go ahead, Capcom... HD twins are a safe choice. This proves it!!

Now leaving sarcasm aside: Capcom, if you want a title to sell, give their userbase what they want. And I think what any wants is games. Not an experiment to see if it works, not a bloody "hardocorezzzz" games, not a try out. We want games. It's easier than you think!

Ohh, BTW, I'm sad about this title. It deserves much less sales than ot has.

None of those games had even a fraction of the hype The Conduit had.  I used Haze because it mirrored the Conduit pretty much, hyped up massively and then rubbished when reviews hit.

Should I go and use sales of Distater: Day of Crisis as evidence of what sales are like on Wii?  You remember Disaster: Day of Crisis right?  That massive blockbuster game that was well advertised and fronted with a massive following, just like those games you listed.

Sorry but this is the worst argumentation ever lol.

Hype from internet =/= good sales. I DOUBT you will see more than 500 people hyping a game like The Conduit even if you count every forum you was reading and 500 people aren't good enough to make a game sell well.

A lot of games without hype sold well, which means that hype from internet has nothing to do with sales.

You put it the way you want. That's a massive amount of bullshit, and you know it, but I'll answer anyway. The Conduit compared with Haze doesn't make any sense. Haze was widely advertised. The Conduit was hyped by a bunch of internet nerds by some awfull graphics they saw.

And Disaster... hyped? Advertised? A game that didn't even met the quality required for being released in the US? Are you kidding me?

The only thing left for you to say is that Rogue Trooper Wii should have sold more than Bionic Comando or The Saboteur (here is another game that proves that all efforts are compensated on PS360...).

@KylieDog
Dazkarieh gave you EIGHT good examples, stop trying man. All you want to see is the bad side for the Wii and the good side for the HD consoles, face it. You aren't really arguing anymore, you are just ignoring the other arguments and seeing the bad side.

-Edit-

All the consoles has games with poor sales but the worse part is that the games developed in HD will cost much more and will give lesser profit. People will talk only about the Wii sales because it isn't as powerful as the other consoles, that's why people are paying much more attention to the Wii in this area, they have an "excuse".

The Conduit (average game) will probably give more profit than The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena and Riddick (awesome game).

I see, poke at the massive holes in your argument and rather than try defend the holes you attack the person doing the poking. Nice attempt at a diversion tactic but it will not work. My argument stands.

edit: That was for the 2 replies up.  The person above needs learn was sarcasm is when reading the Disaster comments.

Your argument stands but you're still wrong.

Its getting really pathetic to a point where its starting to become an insult to us (us core wii owners) when a developer releases a game (thats has a lot of potential) with NO advertisment and expects it to sell. Then later reiterate that they they're dumping support because wii games dont sell.

On rails games rock, but when a company like EA have the nerve to make an on rails title based off a game that didnt even reach THEIR expectations on the other two consoles; thats they made the last straw. It pains me to see wii versions of multiplatform games like Ghostbuters, and the new Prince of Persia game get the short end of the stick when it comes to story, setting, gameplay, art direction, and especialy graphics. This is why I sold the force unleashed soley because the graphics were grotesque, and the gameplay was horrible. I seen better graphics on rogue squadron than that game; they should have let factor five do the wii version that krome studios.

No, he gave eight crap examples.

None of the games he listed had any hype, any advertising, anything. Is why I mentioned Disaster, because it was the same as those 'examples' he listed and it failed just like they did.

The Conduit and Haze both had a lot hype and I'm not sure about Haze but The Conduit at least had a lot of advertising, and I'm not talkign about the net I mean on TV.  Haze still sold better though, despite The Conduit only having one real competitor and Haze many.

Why crap examples? Explain it to me please. There are 6 games that I played and I think they are much better than The Conduit.

As I said before, hype isn't a good argument. If the game will sell 100k and 1k of these players hype the game on the internet before it launch, you probably will say that the game will sell well but it has nothing to do with sales, it's just a fraction of the buyers making some noise, nothing more.

The Conduit didn't had a looot of advertising. Halo 3 had an advertising of 2 minutes or something like that and The Conduit had an advertising of 10 seconds and in the worst time (at daybreak), is it really a good advertising for you?

Fine Capcom fine.

Don't do anything. That's your lost not ours. It would be awesome to have the same respect as the HD users but is obvious that for you we are just a bunch of retards..

..just keep in mind that If you give Roast beef to the HD users and we have french fries instead is obvious that we won't support you. And those whining are pathetic.

Reduce the price to .50 USD or France's equavilent. That's what most people pay for their on-rail shooters.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Any videogame store was full of Haze posters. Any magazine had multiple pages previews, news, adds, etc. I even saw it advertised in some cereals when I went there.

Compare Haze marketing budget with The Conduit is just... well, nothing.
