"Well certainly with the Xbox 360, we had some challenges at the launch. Once we identified that we took control of it. We wanted to do it right by our customers. Nope.

I think most are split between 360 and PS3. And a whole lot more are about to start upgrading to PS3's too in the next year.

The Wii has opened up a whole new market. Most of the sales are from that market.

That's what I believe, too. Which explains why "core" games don't sell well on Wii. And publishers know it too, that's why Wii is treated like a second rate system.

I know people that owned a PS2 and the original Xbox that now either exclusively own a Wii or a Wii and PS3 or Xbox360.
Wii seems to have a broader consumer appeal which includes the gamers of previous generations and a new audience.
Win win for Nintendo really.

I know a few people you own a Wii who previously owned a PS2. I also know one who owns a Wii and 360 after previously owning a PS2 and Gamecube.

The middle choice should be Yes, but not exclusively instead of No.

I did, but I've bought a PS3 now and not touched my Wii is a long time :/.

PS2 had so many games that it appealed to almost all gamers. 360 and PS3 are not in the same situation, and neither is the Wii. I think they are splitting the PS2's user base.

A lot of people want to forget or dismiss the fact that a lot of the PS2 library and user base was "casual". I suppose it's because that word wasn't used to scorn those gamers the way it is used by elitists now.

No, because the question implies "as their main system". I suppose I should have made the middle option "Only as a secondary system".

Well, the Wii is my main system and was bought first.  I picked up a 360 for a good deal and it mostly sits there collecting dust.  The Wii is my main system as it is with a lot of dual current console owners.
