Do You Think Many People went from PS2 to Wii?

I know people that owned a PS2 and the original Xbox that now either exclusively own a Wii or a Wii and PS3 or Xbox360.
Wii seems to have a broader consumer appeal which includes the gamers of previous generations and a new audience.
Win win for Nintendo really.
