originally it was 1,838,350... but it was adjusted upward a little bit if I recall correctly (to about 1.9 million) before being adjusted back down to whatever it is now (1.78 million?)

The real story here, IMO, is the dramatic drop in both Japanese PS3 hardware and sales of FF13 (which dropped from over 1.5 million first week to less than 200,000 second week). Looks like the PS3's savior was a colossal dud.

When it's all said and done, I'll give it close to 30 mil.

There has to be one 3rd party game that will be a breakout hit this year. EA Sports Active & Mario & Sonic at the Winter Games were last years hits. I wonder who will put the effort forth this year.

.....Monster Hunter Tri has the greatest chance at some type of million in NA/EU but there has to be something else. Maybe Red Steel 2 will manage some numbers.

true FFXIII will not manage the same figures as some of the PS2 ones, but it should scrape 2 million, and if the Japan preview for next week (week ending 3rd jan) is accurate then it is looking ok.

Are people expecting it to be successful? Perhaps it's an American thing, I don't see much appeal in it at all.
