It makes sense since they already finished there engine with Halo 3. Good news.

For the second time, it's a brand new engine.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

^^ Well, Halo games haven't really ever been delayed. Remember the infamous Halo 3 trailer, it said: "Finish the Fight 2007". Halo isn't a game known for delays so no worries there.

But didn't Bill Gates once say about Sony and the impending release of Playstation 3 that "they walk right into Halo 3". And the PS3's targeted release was in 2006 (and it was in itself delayed I think), while Halo 3 came out in Autumn 2007. So actually there must have been some kind of delay in Halo 3's development, even if it wasn't officially announced yet back then.

what i mean is bungie finished ODST then started show it to the press and so on there doing the same for Reach so any fan feedback is useless because the game is basically finished

Aha. In that case, you're correct. Well, all I'll say is they'd better fix whatever was criticised from Halo 3.

The only thing that was criticised for Halo 3 were graphics and too short of a SP campaign, and we already know the graphics are gonna be much much better so I'd say they probably have.

Plenty of time for polish!

I've faith, never meant to be negative.

Excellent!  I'm glad you believe.

... they built the whole game from beginning to end at 40%.

What does the 40% reference?

I'm not really sure maybe it's referring to the single player campaign.

40% is probably a guestimation for the games completion. The game may be playable from beginning to end, as in you can walk through all the levels and fight all the enemies, but many things like voice acting, final textures, final movement/attack animations would not be in yet.

This game will be optimised to death, meaning hopefully no technical problems

no idea how to make this properly work
