FF4 is my personal favorite, followed by FF 6, then FF9.

See that's the thing.  4 ISN'T my personal favorite... but I'd say it was the "greatest".

The general overarching theme and story of failure and redemption is so strongly woven throught the game... you'd be hard pressed to find a game that has such a strong theme... yet executes it in such a way that the strong theme doesn't overpower you, and can even be subtle and missed by some.

Well, I think that what has happened in this thread has illustrated my point about not taking this stuff so seriously. Some of these posts are embarrassing to read. Kasz216, I'm not even angry with you any more; your posts are just...wow. Srsly mate, learn to back away from an argument before you make a fool out of yourself.

What do you people think will happen if both games (FF6&FF7) gets a similar remake treatment?

I think that many people would appreciate better FF6 advantages over FF7,like more appealing characters with better development and deepness overall,better (badder???) kick-ass main Villain,greater moments like Opera's house and the end of the world,more espers (Imagine their FMV's !!! Merton?? OoO )

I had played all FF's games,even sidequests,I don't have a Wii or a DS (for a couple of good reasons) but I like FF6 more than FF7 (second fav),as I said before,FF6 stuck me on gaming...forever.

Right... hey, i'm not really taking it seriously so much as stating a fairly obvious point... that people have agreed with me on.  If you weren't taking it so seriously, i'm sure you'd agree.  It's really an uncontroversial and easy concept. 

I don't think FF6 would work in HD... without massive changes.  So how well it would be recieved as a remake vs FF7 is unknown.

A lot of it was time and format specific.

For example, the poses and dramatic flailing that happened in FF6.  How do you portray that in HD? 

Sabin jumping out of the water like the hulk... doesn't really work in a "realistic" newer FF look.

In generally the wild over reactions like Cyan reacting to the waitress hitting on her or the panic when something bad is happening with franting pacing.

It just wouldn't work.  Which means the body movements and probably some of the dialog would have to change. 

I fear it'd end up like a lot of movies that end up getting "remade".

It's obvious that no-one can have a real argument with you. You have a great deal of trouble communicating at an adult level, and you accept or reject statements according to whether you agree with the things that can be inferred from them (something that shows that your fanboyism is like a religion).

If you really want to, then I'll let you believe that you are objective. I'll let you believe that your opinion is an expert one as well (despite all evidence to the contrary). I'll also let you believe that the Earth is flat (if you can believe the first two things, then believing the third should be easy ).

We see those type of little anime style animations in Tales game.

Beside I would like to see a 3D version of FFVI just like how they did with the other on the DS, HD would be sweeter but budget wise I could understand.
