Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sony needs to make a remastered version of Legend of the Dragoon for PS3

My friend let borrow Legend of the Dragoon last year. I tried to play it on the PS3 and it was working but I'm annoyed with the graphics. I understand thats how graphics were back then but I think Sony should make a remastered version of that game. They did it for God of War I and II, why not, Legend of the Dragoon? Ok, I understand it was easy for God of War because the graphics are easier to remaster compared to Legend of the Dragoon but I think it should still be done. If there is a remastered version of Legend of the Dragoon, it will be a first-day purchase for me. If Sony is not going to ressurect classic series with sequels of those games, at least port a remastered version of the game for the PS3.

So they should do this for every game on the PS1 then? Honestly, I want a remake of LoD or for them to atleast put it up on the PS store.

The way you stated it though, you could pretty much apply to any old game. Give reasons why the game deserves an enhanced port/remake and how it would benefit the company.

4 ≈ One

It won't benefit Sony very much, so why should they do it and risk losing money?

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

i would love a remake of LOD or a sequel it would be a dream come true for me. But sadly i dont see this happening

Well, I don't mean for every PS1 game. What I meant to say that this is one game that should be remastered for the PS3.

I'm sorry for confusion.

I think if the game is remastered, maybe it would improve the gameplay or graphics of the game.

Don't get me wrong I like the game, I just think I would play it more if the graphics were a little bit better.

The graphics don't even have to be HD, at least something similiar to PS2 graphics.

Don't think it sold enough for them to risk it.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Or Sony actually remakes their PSOne emulator to use texture filters. That's right, I'm calling all those Sony reps who frequent this site (Don't think I don't know who you are!)

It sold 1.86m worldwide.

Hmmm..... If they made a sequel, the sales could've improved like they did for Tomb Raider, Crash, Uncharted,  and a host of other sequels.

........I'm biased towards the game, so I think they should do it. I've bought it 3 times in the last 10 years, so I want a remaster. PS3 doesn't have enough JRPGs anyways.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

No they don't have enough JRPGs, and Legend of Dragoon would be amazing for them to recreate and put back to the forfront of an ip they can abuse like white knight chronicles.  It's just that the IP is old, and I doubt anyone will dig up the franchise unless Level 5 decides they want another game in the series.  My ultimate point will be "Ressurect Twisted Metal and Legend of Dragoon" it's been too long for ips to be in limbo and Sony needs something for 2011.

No a new installment, no point in a remake inless it does something than plz graphic whores
