I can agree that Wii Fit is not a game, but I think Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort did their jobs just fine, Nintendo knows how to polish their products to the way they want it for the most part, Wii Music isn't as bad as people make it out to be, and Olympic Games is indeed trashy.

Yes I agree, but many of those "hardcore" console players don't. The point is that if developers really want to make money, they won't only stop making PC games, but also HD games. Even MW2 will get its ass kicked by something casual like NSMBW.

Ah yes my deer comment, the people I work with and the people I see, only the people who actually live in this country would understand my sentiment towards more than 98% of the population in this country(US) on that part..... besides sega4life anyways. Also, there is no hardcore, there is just gaming, imo anyways.

To me there is no hardcore or casual, just games. However there are simpler games and more complex games. For me complex and simple games are the most fun. The HD console games are half-assed simple and half-assed complex, hence generally very mediocre.

MW2 was utter shit. It was basically a direct console port with nothing else for the PC, in other words shit, it deserved to be pirated hell of a lot more than it already has and sold many many millions less.

So a console port is not good enough for PC gamers? They want MW2 PC version to be better than console versions, but they're still gonna pirate the crap out of it as usual?

It's not arrogance, the PC gamer expectations just aren't so low any shitty game can be passed off as good. It's a problem with the console gamers, not the PC gamers.

If he game had been solf for the amount of money i was worth, $10-$15, then I bet there would have been a lot less pirated copies.

Why should they bother spending soooo much money making those, when they can spend 1/4 of that money, make a Wii XXX game or something like NSMBW, and sell far far more than any of the ones you listed. By your logic, they shouldn't even bother. I didn't say they will stop making ports, I said that they will jsut stop making those games altogether because the HD games make shit money compared to Wii games. I'm sure the Olympic games sold more than most of your HD games too.

Well you have to realzie that the PC doesn't handle Platforming as well as console. But going back to my previous post, why should anyone bother making Uncharted 2 when Platforming games on the Wii annihilate it in sales?

 

Also I don't knwo if you noticed, but developers DID stop developing for the PC. Since the expectatoins for games are so high most shitty developers just started releasing on consoles instead, leaving the generally good developers behind, like Blizzard, Valve, Creative Assembly, etc.

yep third party efforts has been very successfull this year on the Wii, that is why they are all increasing those efforts next year.....



PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !
