All I keep finding is that sony has publishing rights for ff7.

Nintendo owns part of the code for Goldeneye, so it's not as cut and dry as publishing disputes.

Think about it a 360 exclusive FF will cost MS a lot more then just those 2 episodes for GTA because it would sell worse in Japan. And it would sell less in the west too. FF is the franchise for PS ok Xbox has FFXIII but most of the people will buy it on PS3 to get FFvsXIII or FFXIV.


If they release it on Xbox360 then it will be a Multiplatform titel.

And FFVII ? I dont know how the rights are but I mean i have read that Sony has the rights for FF titels released on PS1. I am sure I read this somewhere.

I don't think this thread was talking about FF7 remake exclusive...more like multiplatform.

Activision has the rights to all James Bond game

There is no reason why it wouldnt be on the 360 as well. SE has favored the 360 all this generation so there is no reason it wouldnt keep going. 3rd exclusives are a thing of the past, everything goes multi-platform.

My claims is based on 2 things.

1: FF13 going to the 360 no one thought it would happen but it did.

2: The last newsletter I got from Square Enix featured 10 games and only 1 of them was on the ps3 and that was a game that was almost a year old.

Call me cycnical but...



PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Nomura won't be in charge for the remake. Yoshinora kitase would be the director since he directed the original game. Whether he wants a remake to be only for playstation 3 is questionable. 

A remake should be exclusive to the playstation 3. Do we remember the tech demo they showed that was running real time on the playstation 3 at sony e3? You can't replicate that on the xbox 360.

Even more so I think in the end overlord Wada has the last say.

Hmm Ok it seems that Sony has not the rights for FFVII remake only for PS1 version so a remake wouldnt fall under this.

If XIII will sell decently on Xbox360 I cant see a reason why it wont be released on both consoles even if I wish it would be exclusive so it could make better use of the Bluray and the Hardware.
