I don't know, probably Wii around 250k, ps3 a bit under 200k (170-180k?) and X360 a bit over 100k (120-130 I think).

People predicting a big decline for Wii in 2010 are gonna have some serious crow to eat I think. 2009 might have been a bit down, but Wii did not have NSMB Wii for the majority of the year... I've said it before and I'll say it again, never underestimate classic 2-D Mario...
| puffy said: The Wii and XBOX 360 will continue to fall until Natal/Vitality Sensor hit and the PS3 will continue to sell at a rate above 2009 levels until around September (can't be sure what'll happen then) People predicting the Wii will have its best year are deluding themselves at this point, it won't. Metroid isn't a system seller, neither is Super Mario Galaxy 2 as it's a sequel. Also Zelda isn't coming this year. The Vitality Sensor is Nintendo's ace in the hole right now and I think it'll sell 10 million units and help the Wii continue to outsell the other platforms but really.. Nintendo have really dropped the ball with Wii and the lack of MotionPlus support for the holidays and the first half of this year is proof of that. |
I'll agree there. It won't be the best year. But it'll be like 2009 all over again but backwards. It'll have all of its big titles on the
first half of the year. Than have nothing in the last half. Those who expect Zelda in 2010. Are worse. It won't come out till
2011. Though I suspect the first half of 2010 to be better than the the last half of 2009. I don't think it can pass 1st half of 2009
right now. Thogh It will be better than 2007

Two comments about the Wii?
How many consoles per week do you expect will be soley because of NSMBWii?
What big titles are slated at all for 2010? Are people referring to the Super Mario Galaxy expansion pack (Super Mario Galaxy 2) and the new Metroid? SMG2 wont move consoles and Metroid/Ninja Gaiden have never moved consoles.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
Well let's see it's generally not til February or March timeframe that we see it level out completely. And lowest sales are in the summer. But I guess getting an average between them should be that hard. So if I had to take a rough guess:
Wii: 250k
PS3: 150k
360: 110k
This would really just suggest Wii and PS3 will be up a little bit over similar averages of last year but the only problem this year is the amount of quality releases for all 3 systems. Although most of the big exclusives for Wii won't be til later part of the year, Wii Sports Resort, Wii Fit Plus, and New Super Mario Bros Wii are still fresh to drive systems. So we could see it higher than normal given this. 2010 is going to be similar to 2007 in software and that's what led to the first big outburst of hardware sales. Possibly could put the industry back on the rise. Not to mention we got a strong DS with the DSi XL and another Pokemon game releasing. Going to be interesting.
@Zucas,
Wii Sports Resort didnt boost sales last summer why will it boost sales now?
Wii Fit Plus just takes over for Wii Fit.
As for NSMBWii. I ask again how many consoles per week will sell because of it? I dont think much.

As a nintendo loyalist I'll anwser that the best non bias way I could
Wii Sports Resort didn't boast sales last summer why would it boast sales now?
Well unlike hardcore/deticated fan franchises which gets all of its sales on the first couple of weeks and you see a big diffrence.
This game does it over time. Its still in the top 10 games.
Wii Fit + just takes over Wii fit
Actually it expands wii fit's life and therefore expands its momtum
As for NSMBW. I ask how many consoles per week will sell becasue of it?
Like I said with Wii sports resort. It'll do it long tem. Also NSMBW is the fasttest selling nintendo game. That might also be the fastest
game to reach 10 million and be the best selling standalone console game.(It will do it) You'll see a bigger boast from NSMBW than wii sports resort
Hope that anwsers your question

Agreed, these games will keep Wii selling more than the other consoles.
I don't know what the exact numbers But using Wii as 100%
I see PS3 as 60%
360 as 50-55%.
