So tomorrow is boxing day and there are a few games on sale at Best Buy. AC2 is on sale for 39.99, Dragon Age is for 39.99 but Demon's Souls is still regularly priced at 69.99. I'm definitely getting AC2 but I'm not sure which of these two RPGs to get. I was leaning towards Dragon Age all this time, mainly because of the price tag and the lengthy quest that it offers, but Demon's Souls, despite its price, just looks so damn attractive! I know I'll be getting both of these games eventually but it's tough to choose which one to get first.

In order to help you guys advise me better, I love RPGs that involve real time action (not turn-based like the FF series) and some sort of system that detects your relationship with others and how others view you. That's probably why I enjoyed Fable and Fallout 3 so much; the fact that you could make moral decisions was so cool IMO.

Any recommendations?

both are amazing, but I've been hearing Demon soul's once your into it is worthy of game of the generation

Yeah, it also got Gamespot's best game of 2009 as well, which makes my job even tougher!

get Dragon Age and wait for Demon Souls sale in canada.

Demon Souls is the funniest game ever made. Got it today for christmas and when I fired it up with my brother he was watching me make a character and we couldn't stop laughing because of the appearance options. The first thing that had us rolling was the option for Gender. It was a fucking scroll bar. I was laughing so hard then to top it off when you scroll towards the female side it makes your character look a fat blue tinted ogred version of whatever you looked like and when you scroll back to male it brings your character back to a normal human being. Hilarious stuff. Then I went to the next options and I scrolled one thing and it instantly turned my character from a normal looking person to a crack headed retarded baby who got his face smashed in with a hammer and his lips swelled up over his cheeks. It was the most retarded thing ever. I couldn't stop laughing for 30 minutes. Needless to say I kept my retarded character and have died many times since.

The game is still fun though. Sometimes it does feel unpolished in mechanics and gameplay but some of the things that feel weird actually have a purpose(i.e. hitting walls when you swing big swords in tight places instead of just swinging as if there was no wall there like most games, it gives an advantage to smaller swords/daggers in those areas creating strategy/depth). It really is a game that is not meant to feel 100% comfortable right when yo ustart playing because most games sacrifice a bit of gameplay depth in order to acheive that feel. This game doesn't and it's just good old video game fun. I'm really glad I got it and I've done nothing but die since I started playing it. lol

As for my experience with Dragon Age I was visiting my friend and he'd been wanting to get a new game so his wife got him Dragn Age since thats what he wanted. After a night of playing it he said it was a good game(it seemed ok from watching it) but he ended up going out the next night and getting Batman: AA to play instead. It just didn't seem as fun as Demon Souls or Batman. I would pass on it if I was you.
