Yeah you need Japan for that. 360 will never be big in Japan and nor will the next Microsoft console unless MS buy Square Enix.

yeah..all eyes on SE whether being bought or not by MS..that cud be the only lead with which Microsoft can start winning Japanese userbase.

If a big game, like Halo 3, was released during the pre-Christmas week, it would. The PS3 would never get there without the FFXIII release during the biggest week.

i don't think that would ever happen.Sony already has some stake in it and Sony would do it before MS.

If Microsoft ever decides to buy SE, I think the Japanese people will start rejecting anything they make since it's really endorsing a american product.

It would still probably need Japan for that, which the PS3 has no problem reaching at this point.

Also, the PS3 has yet to see it's biggest release and yet to drop to $199. IMO, it has a shot a doing 1 million again.

Totally agree.  Though I think the next price cut might come late 2010, and be only $50.  By then, if lowered to $250 a pop, the PS3 would either be breaking even or making a slight profit for Sony.  Maybe it could have a few million weeks, some with a $250 price tag and even more with a $200 price tag.  You think it would ever be able to drop to below $200, even at this gen's end?

Xbox 360 was too close last year.

*waiting for final adjustments* It's like unofficial lottery numbers coming out and thinking you're the big winner.

*That was completely unnecessary!*  The guy was asking a honest question, but you seem ready to take up arms to defend the 360.  Calm down, no one is speaking badly about the 360.  If they were, I would be criticizing them instead of you.

Nah, don't think it has a chance now.
