i thought Dead Space is one of the best games i played this year on the wii. is slightly better than House of the Dead and way better than the annoying cheesy Resident Evil

MPT isn't game of THIS year its a bundle and a remake so why give it a GOTY?

Wii Sports Resort is the same as the old one with added features, what would you think your reaction would be if Final Fantasy XII Zodiark Edition won the year it came out?

i dont really see why people would not buy a game for its difficulty, your a gamer you get better with time.

I'm sorry, but that's not right. Some games are more challenging than the average gamer would care to undertake. Especially Demon's Souls where the actual point of the game is simply to beat the unbelievable challenge and be proud of your accomplishment. Many gamers do, and should choose their games based on its difficulty, because if a game is too difficuly, they may never beat it.

Saying that, "Oh you'll get better at it, so don't worry about the difficulty" and applying that to every game ever released, isn't something that any gamer should be prepared to do. If you recommend it, I recommend at least mentioning the difficulty or you'll have a lot of pissed off friends.

NSMBWii just seems to be getting snubbed left and right, even on its own platform.

Demons' Souls is an odd choice too, considering that the messiah came twice to the PS3 this year (Killzone and Uncharted)

you know? Casual gamers used to play very very hard games much harder than Demon's souls ever be , on the NES/SNES , but who complained? no one.

games should be atleast challenging and not a long assed toturial level.

That's an ideology that not all gamers share, and keeping that vital information from them during a recommendation for Demon's Souls is basically forcing that ideology on them through trickery. What is this, politics, lol? You know as well as I do that DS is VERY challenging, and downright hard as bricks, and if you recommend that to your 12 year old nephew who just got a PS3 for christmas, you might be comitting a damn sin.

Casuals might play demon's souls, but they should at least be warned by a gamer before making a recommendation, otherwise, it just seems like your hocking the game in order to gain a sale at cost to the person you recomended it to. It's fine on forums where your anonymous, but would you recommend it to a friend without mentioning the difficulty?

Let the gamer decide, you shouldn't decide for them. Just present them with the facts. FYI, check out the Yhatzee review, lol.

Yes yes I know SALES =/= Quality but still games like Uncharted 2 most likely sold so well thanks to so many good reviews so whats wrong with those games on the list?Same with new Ip:s released this year,like Batman and such.
