This gets me really angry becuase I wanted to get both games at release but now I can't becuase I don't have enough money for that. I mean what are they thinking? Both companies are going to be losing so much money having 2 blockbuster games in the same month. What are the chances of one of the games being pushed back a couple of months. If thats going to happen Im thinking it would be FF 13 becuase god of war is already complete. What d you guys think? Also what will you be gettting if they both end up in the month? Or if you can get both? I'm laning towards god of war 3 becuase I have been a huge fan of god since the first, while I am a newbie to FF games.

FF is knowed to sell mostly because of legs in the western market, so, releasing near another major title may hurt the first week but not the first year. God of War is a little more front-loaded game, should have near the same FW of FF or even better, but will sell much less in first year.

And consider that both are huge system seller and have already their own fanbase, being released together won't hurt sales in anyway.

even thugh i think ill hate ff13 ill be realistic and say gow3 will lose out on sales if thyr released 2gether....on ps3 so usin short cuts

FFXIII will hurt GoW3 sales....FFXIII will hurt any other game's sales that are to be released in that month.

t hey wont hurt each others sales nearly as much as you guys are thinking. FF13 early march GOW3 is late march. one is RPG one is Action people who want both will eventually get them both. just look at last year when we has SF4, killzone 2 and RE5 all a few weeks from each other early in the year good sales all around.

They will definitely hurt each other's sales as I probably won't buy God of War III until much later on.

yea, what a month for ps3 though.

but you will still buy it so sales arent hurt just delayed.

actually the last time I saw the pre order chartz GOW3 was no.1 and it seemed like GOW3 is the one hurting FF13 sales....it could change tho.

BTW Q1 is freakin crazy with all the games comming out.

I already bought GOW3 (preorder extras got me) and will pre-order FF13 once i see what type of Pre-order deals comes out hopefully a early demo, gift-card or reduced price.
