FF is knowed to sell mostly because of legs in the western market, so, releasing near another major title may hurt the first week but not the first year. God of War is a little more front-loaded game, should have near the same FW of FF or even better, but will sell much less in first year.
And consider that both are huge system seller and have already their own fanbase, being released together won't hurt sales in anyway.
