Great game.

One of the 5 games which defined Nintendo's success (the other 4 are Nintendogs, Brain Training, Mario Kart, Wii Fit).

It has great gameplay, the best local multiplayer apart from Guitar Hero games and it defined this generation. The perfect game for parties. I'm one of few who really likes the Baseball. It's just so much fun.

It would get a 9, but then there wouldn't be any room for Wii Sports Resort, which is even funner. Wii Sports Resort on the other hand is one of the best games this generation. Definitely the best Wii game this generation.

- Innovative (a new level of game play)
- Fun (I still play it)
- Very user friendly (anyone can play)
- Controls are simple and very responsive
- And the added bonus that it is free (well for me anyway)

Sold the Wii to me, along with countless millions.

Showed, very simply, exactly what this new technology could do. You didn't have to explain to anyone, just started up tennis, gave them the Wiimote and got them to work it out. The benefits were there staring you in the face, no if / buts / maybes.

pros - does what it says on the tin, fun and easy but decent depth too, nice, confident use of motion controls, pleasing, suitable graphics

cons - a little light on content IMHO and a couple more games would have been better, some flaws in gameplay here and there with the controls, boxing in particular seems to descent into a spam fest of dangerous real life punching and swaying (at least it does in my house!), not much fun solo and perhaps it was always intended to really support playing with someone, but still a little more effort there would have helped, in the end a little thin for repeated play unless wheeled out when friends are around
