Alright, you get a trophy for beating it on hard without changing the difficulty setting. My question is, after the tutorial mission at the beginning of the game culminating in the Good or Evil "eats" it "promoted" me to the hard difficulty setting based on how I played. If I go on to beat the game now, do I get the trophy or do I have to go to options and put it on hard as soon as I wake up in the crater?

From what I understand, you'll get the Hard Finish trophy if you let it promote you.

i forget exactly how the trophy is worded but you can either...

A) do well enough in the turtorial level that that game asks you if you want to play on hard.

B) set the game setting to hard then create a new save file (starting the game over but you setting will be set to hard from the get-go).

if you ever change the difficulty setting yourself (even in the tutorial mission) you cannot get this trophy.

Yes that's how the Trophy is earned, wait till it promotes you, don't change the setting at all after that, beat the game and good to go from there.

Yeah you'll get the trophy. I had the same question and, since I was going to do another play through anyway, I just finished the game.

I got the hard trophy beating the rest of the game after being "promoted"

Sweet, time to get killin then. I played through it on normal being a good guy, so that I could be a bit more...eh...careless when I played on hard. I plan on making this my first platinum trophy, I love this god damned game. As cool as Uncharted 2 is, INfamous I think is my personal game of the year.

Don't worry about being careless as a good guy, as long as you heal people and "live capture" and don't go too crazy, you're solid.

Meh, I've already beat it as a good guy, so I'm not too worried about it. I'm just going back through it again with reckless abandon. Even though I wouldn't get too many negative points for killing innocents, it just didn't feel right seeing as how I was supposed to be their protector. I got through the game injuring very few innocent people my first time through. Now if they are in the way, they are collateral damage. Gotta break a few eggs ect or something else callous.

When playing as a villian, you'll find that some pedestrians ask for it...
