Forums - Gaming Discussion - Is sega really coming back?

So I was told that sega may be making a console but didn't belive it so I googled sega and found out they have a patent on controller of two. So if this is true what happens to those "Mario and Sonic" games? Surely sega will not allow nintendo to profit from their creation (sonic) when they have their own system. Have to admit that it would be interesting to see sega come back. I got the patent info from wikipedia.

I don't know.

I honestly want Nintendo to buy Sega.

.......

It will never happen.
They might try to make accessories though.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... You have it backwards. Sega is profiting off of use of Mario. Sega publishes and develops those games, with some minor supervision from Nintendo.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Well we should wait 10 years then you can look back and see.

Sega is stuck in limbo right now. They are too big and too small at the same time. Too big to make ripples with creativity and risks (like in the old days) and too small to be a major player in the industry using $$$ and advertising.

I blame their partnership to Sammy... Sega needs to go independant or to be sold to like MS or Nintendo at this point. They have way too many classic franchises that they are too chickenshit to make.

a game gear 2 with tv , a little camera and compatibiliy with all game gear games, master system games, megadrive games, saturn games and dreamcast games, arcade games like system 16, 32, model 1 2, 3 will be awesome

"Too big to make ripples with creativity and risks"

you forget Valkyria Chronicles, Bayonetta (partnership with platinums) nobody want clover studio because okami and god hand don't sell well, nobody , except Sega

so , stop tell silly things

"too small to be a major player in the industry using $$$ and advertising"

not to small but not enough money for commercial, yes, i think.
So , buy every Sega games

Sega is not going to make a new system, no matter how badly I want them too.

hahaha exactly

If at first you don't succeed, you fail

I doubt it. Hopefully they will get acquired by M$. We all know M$ needs some more franchises and acquiring SEGA might just help them a bit.

Long Live SHIO!
