EDIT: And about the excuse of the demo size limit, wth?! Why on earth would they want to tone down the graphics for this demo, just so the file size will be like 250MB instead of like 1GB for every other demo out there?? There is no why, cause they didn't tone down the graphics.

Do you even know the bandwidth cost saved for a 250mb download VS a 1gb download for potential 20+ million users?

I'm actually surprised the file is only 240MB. Aren't most demos at least 750MB (at least on Xbox360)?

Demo's are usually sized between 500-1500, depending on the Game. But 240 is really nothing compared to other ones, as the most in here said already: this Demo doesnt count as a tech demo for GT's final graphics.

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

Well for me the drving simulated the car perfectly. It isnt a easy car to drive.

For me the gameplay was top not, it is just the graphics hat left me crying :(

That being said i remember what prologue looked like. I also remember what the TGS footage looks like. So i have no need to be worried. I hope

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

I can guaranteed more then 2 cars and more then 1 track.

I understand that, but is that worth the risk of losing potential buyers because of a demo with toned down graphics? I don't think so.

I'm sorry to say this, but to all you guys who believe this is NOT a demo of GT5 and that the graphics will be better in the full game: prepare yourself to be dissapointed.

True, this is not a demo of the real GT5. And yes, this demo is only made, specifically, for GT Academy 2010. But trust me, the only difference between this demo and the full game is that you'll have a 1000 cars instead of 2, you'll have cosmetic damge and "performance damage", you'll race against a maximum of 15 cars and you'll get all the options and modes from a real GT game. But will the graphics change? Probably not, UNLESS Polyphony Digital and/or Sony wants to deceive us with this demo and that the graphics part of it is from an older build. Than in the full GT5 game they'll use the new and improved graphics engine to surprise everyone with beautiful graphics.

Come on, do you guys really believe that? Ok, this track is pretty "boring" for the eyes, and we all know that the London track and various other ones will have beautiful surroundings, like we've seen in GT5P. But will it get BETTER than this newest demo, with prettier graphics? Possibly, but i don't think so. The crowds will look just the same, the trees will be the same and everything will still look clean and sterile.

Do i care? No, cause i'm already VERY happy with the graphics and VERY happy with the physics engine in this newest demo. So, i can't wait for GT5! And like i said before, everyone who still thinks that the graphics will look better in the final game: prepare yourself to be dissapointed.

I'm sorry, but the graphics are really gonna be much better than in this "Demo".

I suggest you watching this:

I hope i made you happier :D

And from that video (which by the way has a very low bitrate, in other words shitty quality) you can tell that it looks prettier than a replay video of the recent demo? And why exactly? Because there are more cars, more shadows or a more interesting surrounding in general? I totally agree that it looks more interesting and less sterile, but that it looks BETTER than this demo? No, it's just a different track with different surroundings. Nothing in that video shows that the demo track will look prettier in the full game.

In a few months when you'll be playing the full game, play the exact same track as in the recent demo, race on it with the exact same car and you'll see that visually nothing changed. Maybe some minor details because they still have a few months of development time, but the graphics won't be noticeablyl better, specially not "much better" like you say. BUT, we both can't proof anything, so i guess we'll just see in a few month.

I am already happy with the graphics, though, AND of course the gameplay, so when the final game hits i'll be VERY pleased with the game no matter what. I hope you'll be pleased as well and that you won't be dissapointed, if the graphics will get better or not.

Ladies and Gentlemen we've got a noob.

for the game itself, the driving mechanics are good but not awesome.  the graphics of the (inside and outside) car are awesome.

now, what is up with the background graphics?  the stands and the people in the stands look like PS one graphics.   i hope, in the official release, the scenery would look more lively, Uncharted 2-esque Himilayas looking graphics.

and oh yeah, i hope for better music.  i hope we can play our own playlist like wipeout HD.

its not a demo of gt5 the full game, its a special time trial to find the quikest drivers who have a chance to get into a real nissan race car.

and at only 220meg its a chopped down bite sized file. so obviously things will be toned down to keep a small file size.

new handling is excellent and drives superbly although its very challenging.

no it is still a demo.

its not a gran turismo 5 demo

only thing gt5 is the physics, the rest is just a rehash of prologue they added in quick

the demo is solely out to show off the physics engine which are, to me, perfect

ummm, then its a demo of the physics engine of GT5. So its IS a demo of GT5!! Really why is this so hard to accept.  Remember a demo is short for a demonstration and does not reflect the entire game.

so if Halo: ODST uses the same physics engine as Halo: reach then Halo ODST is basically a demo for reach?

Yes it would... but it does not use the same engine so its not a demo of reach

Uncharted a demo for Uncharted 2. You heard it here first.

Ps3 FF13 a demo for 360 FF13.
