lol GT5 release will make so many people look like fools, and i bookmarked all the threads just to to make sure.

3m easy first week, 4.5ish first month ww.

+ 10 easy life time.

No need to point out anything, all of you aint got a clue about cars racing motor sports and especially Gran Turismo.

I do at least have the ability to use correct punctuation to ensure my point is made properly.  I personally would say your last sentence though shows a huge amount of ignorance towards your fellow posters on this board and further strengthens my views on the quality of your contributions to this site.

2-3 million first week, 8+ million lifetime (possibly 9-10 million)

Reasons the driving genre isn't dead and GT5 will do just fine:

1. Need For Speed's success. Every Need For Speed on the PS3 except Carbon (which was I think a launch title so low userbase) has sold 1 million units. And the 4 NFS games combined have sold 5 million units

2. GT5 Prologue - I has, what, like 40 cars and a handful of tracks for $40. Yeah it sold 3 million units and is still selling well. Actually its more like 4 million counting downloads. GT is far from dead.

3. There are 11 racing games with a minimum 500k sales on the PS3. That's a pretty solid number. And a further 17 on the 360. Oh and there's just 14 FPS games on PS3 that sold 500k. So racing games are just below FPS in sales.

And you contribue what.  Most on here really contribute nothing but ignroant opinion, i have been proven right on many major things most of you have been proven wrong time and time again.

This is just another one, i have argued people who got no clue enough on here.  GT5 will show who was right who was wrong.  Rehashing the same old shit over and over to people who dont understand anyhting is quite pointless and very boring.

I really dont know what to expect. I was a bit doubtful of FFXIII's sales due to lower ps3 userbase and it ended up not being an issue at all (at least in Japan) so I'd saythe same probably hold true for GT% as well so I'm thinking 7-10 mil LTD.

the racing genre is not popular anymore

Um no.

only 1 person was playing the time trail on my friends list

15m people played GT3 with out any online.

most of its old players have grown and some of those grown people don't game anymore

Most are waiting for GT5 to buy a PS3, many oldies on my car forums are waiting for it.

the only hope i have for gt5 is actually forza. that game is selling really good, so maybe people still wanna race. or maybe those

Forza means is nothing, since GT1 all racing games have done nowhere near what GT did.  What they do means nothing to GT and how it does.

F3 players are old gt players?

No.

so what do you think gt5 will sell week 1 and life time.

I'm worried about GT5 sales in NA, and to a smaller extent in Japan. I'm not really worried at all about Europe.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Online Damage Nascar and Supercars will take care of NA.  Japan will do the usual 500k give or take first week, 1.5/2m lifetime.

No you argue with people on here that have a different opinion to you.  I don't see how you've brought up any valid points to claim everyone elses opinion that differs to you is wrong.  My contribution was to point out your rather offensive posting nature regarding a obvious opinion based thread.

GT5 will not prove anything to the vast majority of reasonable posters on here and certainly not prove who was right or wrong, if you're bold predictions turn out false then I look forward to seeing you offline rather than have the stomach to eat some crow.  Everyone is wrong from time to time, the decent posters on here though will at least admit their failures and not hide behind bluster.  It's attitudes like yours that deter people participating in predictions to start with.

If Gran Turismo 5 Prologue can sell 3.4 million, then the full version can AT LEAST sell 5mil+ which of course it will.

It should sell at least 500k first week in Japan, around 400k in America and probably 600k+ in Europe with very strong legs.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 > Modern Warfare 2

this is like a main halo title guys, its like halo 4 releasing and you all know how that will sell. this is gran turismo FIVE! its the first full version on ps3 and the last full version came out years ago! people are hungry for this game. 7-8 million is guaranteed!
