the racing genre is not popular anymore

only 1 person was playing the time trail on my friends list

most of its old players have grown and some of those grown people don't game anymore

the only hope i have for gt5 is actually forza. that game is selling really good, so maybe people still wanna race. or maybe those

F3 players are old gt players?

so what do you think gt5 will sell week 1 and life time.

I think it should do similar to GT4 really, about 2-2.5 million combined first week (I would guess it won't launch simultaneously... so by that I mean the first weeks of each region put together)

I thinkit should manage between 8 and 10 million lifetime... though it could be heavily bundled, and could manage 11 or 12 million if that happens.

it will probably sell 600k-800k first week and 2-3mil lifetime in America's.

in others, 1mil-1.5mil first week and 2.5-3.5mil lifetime.

in japan, 800k-1mil first week and 1.5-2mil lifetime.

minimum lifetime will be 6mil
maximum lifetime will be 9mil.

i don't think it will hit 10mil...

going by your friends list really isnt a good reason buddy, if that is the case then fifa 10 should be the best selling game ever, since my entire list is always playing it!

if people dont care for gt5 anymore than ask me why gt prologue sold 4million.

The game doesn't have Wii in the title and doesn't have Mario in the game.

In all honesty, I think this game will do fine in sales. If not -the- top selling game on the PS3, I think this will easily be in the top 3. For the entire rest of the generation.

The realistic racing genre has never been all that popular. Except that one series that totally blasted through the chartz... what was the name of that series again?

Why are the poll 1st week numbers so high??? Racing games don't launch that huge but sell with legs. I couldn't choose any of those because they aren't realistic, especially for a PS3 game that will only launch in Japan in March. Unless you're talking about combined week one numbers for all of the eventual launches. Even in that case I think they're high.

Oh, and you shouldn't worry about the sales unless your making money based on it selling big. The game will sell fine.

1-2 mil world wide weak one would be on the generous side
but 7-8 mill life time would be very reasonable

basicaly 2.5x the prelude sales lol
