we are comparing products in a market, what relevance does a major have |
I'm using the same logic of popular = better.

in other words no relevance, if thats what u got out of it i apologize for not explaining myself, but i just believe sales should be the indicator we use when comparing products in a market

I'm sorry, how did I misconstrue that again?

u ignored the fact that i mentioned sales, which is something a major can't do because its not a product in a market
I never said Wii Music was horrible game lol, i actually i love it and i remember defending it on some thread somewhere, but it was indeed a poorly implemented idea, and i cant deny that the game had potential to disrupt music games, but Nintendo didnt put the right effort on the right stuff, as a result i ended up playing the Orchestra minigame way more than the main game, and i spent a hell more time playing the Zelda theme song which was not only cool, and epic but fun and versatile i think i wasted every instrument of the game on it
Stop arguing about the sales-quality relation, THERE ARE MANY MORE FACTORS INVOLVED IN THE EQUATION
Nintendo is the best videogames company ever!

Ok i will stop arguing it, i just believe people should stop using reviews as a main indicator, and i didn't mean to accuse you of saying wii music is horrible.
On another note what country r u from and what games do u have for ur wii?
Edit: i looked at ur profile and added u, do u still play the conduit
Im from Venezuela and i have plenty of games but.. what does that have to do with the topic o_o

number one i never said these are my personal views im just stating what is believed by the general public, i don't listen to pop or rock but ur not about to sit their and say they are the best because they have the best music, their quality leads to their sales, and the their sales lead to their titles, show me one genre in music that has the greatest selling musician in that genre not be the king or queen, modanna is the queen of pop i guess u havn't noticed she is also the highest selling female pop artist, elvis is the king of rock n roll and also the highest selling rock n roll artist see trend now or are u just blind number two u obviously don't know how the electoral college works, its also pretty much based off of popularity just indirectly, the electors representing each state in the electoral college usually vote for who the state voted for so they are re-elected and stay in favor of the state, so u are right about the popular vote not deciding but its still based off of popularity and what about the senate and house of reps number three its considered the number one fast food restaurant because of sales, i know their food isnt the healthiest but thats not stopping them from being considered number one, and people go there to enjoy the food not eat healthy lastly what does all that political stuff have to do with sales and whats considered the best on the market, i brung up the presidential election to show u that obviously the popular opinion is more important than u think, all that political stuff has nothing to do with sales in a market |
General consensus based off of sales (AGAIN) does not = quality. This is the link you were making before and what I responded to. Don't you think quality has more to do with what someone thinks of a product rather than the number it has garnered on a store shelf? This is where reviews come from... and reviews are the only merit to quality a product has... I've broken it down quite simply in my other post to you. Perhaps you should re-read it?
Sales = Marketing, I think this is what you're having problems understanding. Sometimes a band, movie or game can be so good, that the few people who have respectively, listened, seen, or played spread the word. But then you get really shitty things like T2:ROTF. It made millions of dollars at the boxoffice but was panned by everyone who had seen it. Now, using your logic, it was one of the best movies of the summer. It was seen by just about everyone, yes? But as stated previously, it was panned by everyone... How can something so bad be bought by so many people?
Marketing my friend, marketing
Do I think that Madonna is queen of pop? No
Do I think Elvis is king of rock and roll? No
Do I think any of the other you listed have quality simply because of the way they were marketed and subsequently bought? No
To sum up what I have stated all along, Sales, numbers, popular opinion, whatever is considered the best/=/ quality. They are for the most part MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE.

oh yea this is about Eyepet, i don't own a ps3 but that game does look impressive, its exactly what i imagined nintendogs on the wii would be like, nintendo should have jumped on the idea when they had the chance

Hey patapon i didn't mean to sound like a troll i just believe sales have more merit then people give credit to, i do agree on marketing playing a heavy role though, and we agree on thoughs artist not being the best i was just saying thats how the public views them and who are we to say they are wrong, im not going to agrue it anymore though and u do have some good points.
