Sounds good. Getting the S-Rankings is what made UC much longer.

Does DC have hidden files like UC did?

If you mean those text files you find by shooting random stuff in the levels, than yes.

Remember how those files influenced your ranking in UC and often prevented you from getting an S because you just didn't know where they are? They changed that in DC, now the ranking is just about points, time, kill count and head shots.

That's good.  Finding the files should not have affected your ranking, but they were fun to find.

Are the head shots similar to UC?  Many people complained that it was too random or difficult  *rolls eyes*.  It made the game more challenging being that you had to actually aim.

I own both games and there both really good games. That being said I think Re:DC is
the better game of the two. It has much better tempo and more varied enimies to kill.

Critical hits seperate the men from the boys.

Too bad the easy difficulty is for casual sally pantsers.

I look forward to playing this game.

One sentence paragraphs FTW!!!

Hey, getting headshots was hard! You had to shoot the slow-moving zombies in the head and everything...

They narrowed it down even more.  You had to hit them in the forehead.

It was well worth it watching those brains explode all over the place though.  It was very similar to how Pachter looks when he tries to explain all of his false predictions.

I did like how the pistol could one-shot almost every enemy...if you shot well enough. Damned Hunters, always making me bust out the shotty...

I eventually probably will get both. It was surprising to me that the media was scoring DSE consistently higher considering that RE:UC is the best rail shooter that I've played on the Wii and figured that RE:DC would also be really good. It looks like I was right. It's good to hear that neither game is a stinker though.

The surprise to me was that the scores for UC seem to be higher than DSC. From the people I've talked to most (not all) seem to prefer DSC. I think to some extent DSC got hit by a backlash for being another railshooter in a crowded year. Which is a pretty unfair thing to downscore a game for. At the same time I think UC benefited more than it should have because it was an early somewhat competent attempt in an open field.

UC is a good long game though, which sadly neither of these 2 are

UC isn't a long game. It has 22 levels that average between 10-15 minutes of playtime, so it's about six hours long. In other words it's just as long as DC.

Now if you are talking about completing the game on all difficulty settings, getting all S rankings and unlock everything else, then UC clocks in at something like 30 hours. DC easily beats that with around 40 hours and if you add in that scores for the two player mode are saved seperately, you are looking at at least another 20 hours to get those S rankings too.

Thanks for the referesher. I remembered it being longer but I haven't played it through in awhile. I just might pop it in tonight.
