1'36s are finally cracked. My new time for the tuned is 1'36.979

Whoa that one is gonna be hard to beat .

I keep screwing up the second part of the track.  Yesterday I actually had a lap at -0.220 on the split before the last corner leading to the oval but when I saw it I freaked out and screwed the corner .  Anyway I am happy we are moving our times to something closer to the real records. Including AoiRayn here too.

Yeah i know what you mean. i can currently get in front of my new time by about 0.130 - 0.280 but then i mess it up turn 8 and end up being neck to neck through 9 and 10.

It's competition like this that makes you faster. You find yourself pushing harder when your actually racing against someone you know rather then the ghost of the top players.

AoiRayn is doing insanely well for using a DS3. I'd hate to see what times he'd pull on a wheel.

Wow, you guys are really pushing it far, it's getting too hard for me with a DS3 now :p Good thing I get my G25 either tomorow or tuesday :D Though it'll probably take some time getting used to.. I probably won't beat my record untill next year..

Do you guys race on manual or automatic? As I don't have a driver license (Gonna take it when I turn 19), I think it'll take a while getting used to manual with G25. Any tips and tricks? ^^

Good job both of you! keep pushing :)

I drive most of the time on manual, automatic can be annoying.  Still I play automatic sometimes and it really doesn't make a massive difference in time.  For this time trial I use the paddles.  It's gonna take you some time to get used to it, you'll actually be slower but in the long run you'll do better.

Just improved on the stock bringing my best time to 1'49.459

Oniichan takes back the no1 spot in the tuned table

Jaaau! retaliate by taking the top spot in the Normal table

AoiRayn will be getting his G25 tomorrow or Tuesday

nen-suer wonders why he suck compared to these guys

The biggest question is : Will AoiRayn lap times improve significantly with him using using the G25??

We will have to wait for tomorrow (or Tuesday) to find the answer

I always use manual. When doing time trial events i tend to only use the paddles as you can change gear alot quicker then the sequential gears or H pattern gearing.

I will warn you though when you get the G25 you will be ALOT slower then when using the ds3. Happened to me and i almost thought why did i even purchase the wheel when im slower or get near same times. Just keep at it and you will suddenly see those times fall and then pass what you could accomplish on a controller.

As for setting up the wheel with the GT5:P and TT. I suggest you turn the steering to simulation and power assit to off. Turn force feedback to 8 or 10 depending on how you feel. I have it on max force feedback so i can feel the bumps and when the car starts slipping.

Right, got it thanks for the tips :)

Though it feels kinda dumb of me buying the wheel NOW when I don't really have any racer game on my PS3 hehe :p
Ahh, I'm gonna buy GT5 first day anyway so it's not really an issue :)

Oh and @nen-suer
Don't wait for me tomorow or tuesday, as Oniichan said, it'll probably take a while getting used to the wheel. :)

You can always tell yourself you can use it for some PC sim... if that makes you feel better :)

Yeah i only use a wheel for racing games. In the past when i did use the DS3 before i got my g25 i would say i am about 1 sec + slower than the wheel. Therefore i'd say 1'37.500 - 1'38.500 would be your target.

my new time for the stock is 1'49.420
