How many times am I going to have to repeat myself on these threads. This game probably won't reflect much on what Gran Turismo 5 is going to be, don't judge that game based on this. |
This is a demo of the GT5 Driving Physics (- Damage) and nothing else. Coincidently this thread is about the driving physics AND NOTHING ELSE.
Waiting for my PS3 to download the demo. Unfortunately my PS3 downloads @ like 80kbs a second yet plays games online perfect. (Same with Step-dads Ps3 in house)
Update: Had a pretty good go. It's pretty good but some annoying features. The controller delay when braking and accelerating is annoying as fuck and will take some getting used to. Tyre screeching is annoying, they're still using the same tyre sounds as GT1 and automatic gearing sucks. I went off course and when I came back on I was still stuck in 3rd. I'm using manual now anyway.
I'm not going to comment on the graphics as this is obviously not the proper thing.

Man, I certainly don't have that issue. I usually get 900-1MB/s on PSN.
|
I don't know why it happens. The Wii and Xbox 360's download fine. Probably something to do with my router or IP. It doesn't like PSN downloads.
|
lol, my router is the same way. It's schizophrenic big time. I say usually because sometimes I will dip to like 25kb/s. I usually reset the PS3 or reset my router and everything works again.

My router is fine really. It always maintain's the full internet speed but for some reason PS3 downloads are really slow. It's only quick in the mornings when not many users are on their PS3's. 6am-12pm etc. It's almost like Sony limits download bandwith in my house at peak times. The thing is that I can play games online fine at full speed.
Anyway it's a problem never likely to be fixed and this thread is about GT5 Academy and not my wacky Ps3 internet
