nominees don't really matter since U2 mops the floor with just about everything ^_^

Pretty much all of the end-of-year "awards" I've seen this year have been laughable. They should maybe just start calling them "commercials". That's pretty much what they are, it seems.

honestly neither of them deserve it. MW2 is the equivilant to transformers 2. terrible movie that gets overhyped and is all razzle dazzle no story, same crap as previous games, adds nothing new and has aim assistant.

as for nsmb, its a complete rehash of the one for ds except they left out the best multiplayer mode(star battle or whatever it was called) and have to completely terrible modes where u just play the levels of the game whoever gets the most coins......how thoughtful. The thing I did like was the game was challenging for mario, and the levels were somewhat unique but it really doesnt deserve game of the year....

Ratchet and The Sims 3 .... I feel Halo Wars and MW2 deserve these spots ...

Nominees don't really matter when UC2 is going to win pretty much every GOTY.

I was expecting most sites to omit Mario, but I'm surprised that Modern Warfare 2 isn't on there.

Not surprised in the slightest about NSMBWii because no gaming site seems to care much about it.

Dude, have you played NSMBWii? It's way more of a rehash of Mario 3 than it is of NSMB. NSMB for DS and NSMBWii have pretty much nothing in common except the name.
