You probably caught a YTD(year to date) graph a few months ago which Sony was actually ahead of the 360 in 08(considering the time frame) but once the 360 had it's price drop it passed up the PS3 and subsequently outsold the PS3 by a decent margin by years end.

Yes, this most likely will be the case.

On some what of an off topic; I am interested to speculate on what increase % of this next weeks MS numbers are due to the rescent Europe slashing of prices.

Obviously congratulations had to be extended to the people whom did well and have a relevant personal stake in how the PS3 performs. Congratulations should not really be extended to the executives whom have severely damaged the business, or done more harm than good and im confused as to why people whom would appear to be serving the platform holders would offer congratulations when infact the platform holders should be of service to them.

I still see no purpose for this kind of post in a celebration thread, but whatever...

I suppose so he can push his political agenda.  Though that really has no point in a sales thread.  Plus, I would think it would be just fine praising the execs who have made the decisions that have helped turn Sony around this gen.  But that's just me, I suppose.

So, by March end 2010 they will struggle to make their projections. It is possible, but I think unlikely. Well done for 2009 sales nonetheless. We'll have to see how things go during 2010. The marketing relaunch was very good, but will it be sustained?

WilliamWatts; when you say "a platform designed to milk money out of them" you do know that all consoles are ultimately made to milk money out of us? The illusion that some console companies "care about their customers/users" more than others in bull, they only care if you spend money on them, like every company that wants to stay in business.
That's the whole point of making them and the software attached to it.
And, for the record, I agree that posts of your first kind don't belong in this thread.
