You probably caught a YTD(year to date) graph a few months ago which Sony was actually ahead of the 360 in 08(considering the time frame) but once the 360 had it's price drop it passed up the PS3 and subsequently outsold the PS3 by a decent margin by years end.

Yes, this most likely will be the case.

On some what of an off topic; I am interested to speculate on what increase % of this next weeks MS numbers are due to the rescent Europe slashing of prices.
