Yes, if i were Namco I'd be looking to release the next one as a PS3/Wii multiplat, maybe sell 300k on PS3 and 175k on Wii or something like that to get close to 500k total.

Exactly!!

in fact the next FF should be multiplat like this too

you think everything is a disapointment, huh

And no, ff will not be multiplat with Wii.

While your memory is awful

lets be honest here, you thought saying uncharted 2 won't hit a certain sales barrier was "hating" the game, stop being so bitter

You see negatives everywhere psrock

Why should the Wii get preference on a Tales multiplat? It'd probably make more sense on a PS3/X360 Tales multiplat, as you could use the same resources, as well as the fact that Vesperia on 360 has sold similarly to what both Wii Tales games will likely end up at.

I'm primarly stating this due to dev resources, rather than anything else. A true multi-plat would be very interesting, and if the development costs weren't too high, you could probably get a Tales game back up to >500k.

9m userbase vs 1.2m userbase?

9m userbase that cares nothing about Tales.

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

Just beastly second week numbers from New Super Mario Bros Wii. Wow that was even higher than my 350k-450k prediction range for it. Wii hardware is just impressive as well. Seems this was what Wii needed. Tales of Graces is definitely disappointing (had expected just under a 200k opener) but still not doing terrible. Hope this doesn't mean the lack of Tales games in the future. Only reasons I can explain potential lower sales is it had to compete with NSMB Wii and FF13 and kinda got overshadowed. Maybe a release in early 2010 would have boded better for the game.

Modern Warfare 2 sales are quite great in Japan as well but it's kinda weird to see a game like that sell in Japan. But there are a lot of "westerners" in Japan so they do have a market. Good hardware sales for DS, PSP, and PSP. Nice boost for 360.

Incredible Wii numbers!

I'd hoped for ToG to have a ~200k FW but atleast it didn't bomb.

Tales games are like Guitar Hero at this point. All signs point to decline and Namco has no one to blame but themselves. Shame it isn't selling like a game of its quality should, but that happens a lot in this business. But its silly to think DQ will be 'reconsidered' because of Tales games sales lol. That's as laughable as calling MH3 a bomb.

But really I suppose focusing on the minor picture keeps from talking about the bigger picture. NSMB success. Not only selling itself but being a Wii hardware pusher. Nearly half a million in its second week and Wii hardware rose what 30k? Incredible. That is the story. But its more fun to try and find a negative in regards to Wii's success.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

It would be very sad if MW2 ends outselling both SW3 and ToG in the long run. It will be close I think. ToG sold worse than ToS2 on its first week according to famitsu, Soriku, where are you getting you numbers from?

Also, where are those that told me that Naruto didn't bomb on the Wii 2 weeks ago, telling me that the series was in decline and a lot of nonsense. Look at the sales of the PSP game, there's no denying now that Naruto did bomb on the Wii.

Winning Eleven has bombed even with a bundle, but well deserved for Konami. The series is dead on the Wii, but they will keep on releasing the late versions because the game at least sells in the West.

Good HW sales for the Wii, not as good as in 2007, but certainly better than last year.

2 new million sellers for the Wii according to Famitsu: WF+ and NSMBWii.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

then how are you not madly hyped and crazy for FF13 & why do you not have an FF13 avatar yet and/or praise dogs in every post and/or make stealthy jabs at PSP?

Reported for lying!
