Meh, don't let them get you down, they aren't gamers anyway.

How can someone who pirates and actively tries to destroy the gaming industry call themselves a gamer?

It sucks they get early access to games and get them for free when you don't, but hey, at least you aren't a greedy selfish douche.

No... instead you sell your games used and not only ensure that the dev sees no money, but you in turn get paid for THEIR work. Used market is far fuller of greedy asses than pirates. I find it funny how they think otherwise.

Wow, way to try and shift the focus there.  I'm sure that might work on some idiots but I still know pirates are still greedy fucks who actively try to bring down the gaming industry.

I'm willing to accept that only once you accept that used game people are far greedier assholes than any pirate, well except maybe the ones who sell copies of the game.

I'll agree that Gamestop either charges too much for used games or gives you too little for your games, but there's nothing wrong with the used game market.

Of course, I also know I don't have to buy from Gamestop if I don't want to.

In that case there is nothing wrong with the pirate "market."

There's really no point in arguing with you because you're going to continue to not listen to every point anyone gives you that conclusively tells you pirating is absolutely wrong and pirates are only greedy, ignorant, selfish, close-minded people who is only out for yourself and refuses to believe that what you're going hurts anyone else.

I'm pretty sure in every pirating thread people give you reason after reason why pirating is wrong, the used game market isn't, and you just continue to use the same bullshit excuses pirates always use, stick your fingers in ear, and yell BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH like some six year old.

Even when I'm stuck being up because I just can't sleep and have nothing at all to do, you really aren't worth my time.

I'm sorry. Pirates don't get any money for their games. Used game people do. You sell your game, the money you made off that sale belongs to the dev, not to you. At least pirates don't profit on other's back. Used gamers are FAR more ignorant, selfish, close-minded (LAWL at calling pirates close-minded, seriously?) and refuse to believe what they are doing.

I guess YOU aren't worht my time, you are just a two-faced hypocrite.

Yea, why the fuck not? As long as you buy the games you think are great, it's all good. No one is losing anything over you getting to play the games earlier, unless their game suck, in which case you've saved your money for a game that doesn't suck. Really, it's win-win.

Oh, and don't mind people like twesterm. He's been brainwashed, and he can't help it. Don't let these kind of sheep get to you.

I have probably pirated about 20 PC games in my life. I have probably played those a cumulative 10 hours, max, if you don't count Jade Empire, which I ended up buying because it actually piqued my interest.

I play very, very, very, very few games even close to completion. Most games bore me in under an hour. Pirating is literally a neccesary measure for me, or I'd never ever buy games that I wasn't 100% sure I'd like beforehand (for my PC) because I'd be too afraid (justifiably) that I'd never play it.

So in that sense, piracy has actually increased my purchasing of games (by 1).

Blank? Blank.

Piracy is extremely popular in ex colonial contries. Guess why.

Around the Network

I wish that an organization would IP track people who pirate and then have them arrested.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Just because someone thinks piracy is morally wrong, doesn't make it so.

I pirate all the time, on almost every platform. I get DS games the hour they are dumped. I discover awesome games from Japan, I would never have played otherwise. I enjoy region free gaming without DRM restrictions. My Wii runs faster and more quietly because I have games running from my USB HDD. I also spend more on official retail games than 99% of the users here. My collection is vast and valuable.

I don't try and justify it because I feel there is no injustice in downloading media for private use. It's not even illegal in many countries. I don't feel the world owes me, I just do what I want in my own time.

There are actual problems in the world.

Why I'm even getting involved in this is a mystery to me but dude:  You do profit.  You gain a $60 game for free.  I have to come up with $60!  Even though the used game company is making money selling a used game, they're running a legitimate business.  And even if they weren't, how does it make it okay for you to steal because they sell something?

Nice pun.

Piracy.

The FUTURE is the FUTURE. Now... B_E_L_I_E_V_E!

I had a chipped PSone and I used to buy pirated games from a friend's dad for a few bucks each. I had hundreds of them. To be fair, I was young and didn't have a job.

Now that I have my own money I never pirate games. But I still can't bring myself to pay for music :(
