Meh, don't let them get you down, they aren't gamers anyway.

How can someone who pirates and actively tries to destroy the gaming industry call themselves a gamer?

It sucks they get early access to games and get them for free when you don't, but hey, at least you aren't a greedy selfish douche.

I've pirated games before, whoop de doo, doesn't mean I am not a gamer.

Just because I don't want to put down _ amount of money down on a game I might not even like, doesn't mean I am not a gamer.

What if the game doesn't deserve _ amount of money? What if there is no demo to this game, and you want to try it out?

I don't pirate games to get "early access", it's more of "I want to see how this game is.. will I like it?"

When there isn't even a demo, how the hell are you going to know if you like the game or not?

No... instead you sell your games used and not only ensure that the dev sees no money, but you in turn get paid for THEIR work. Used market is far fuller of greedy asses than pirates. I find it funny how they think otherwise.

Wow, way to try and shift the focus there.  I'm sure that might work on some idiots but I still know pirates are still greedy fucks who actively try to bring down the gaming industry.

I'm willing to accept that only once you accept that used game people are far greedier assholes than any pirate, well except maybe the ones who sell copies of the game.

I'll agree that Gamestop either charges too much for used games or gives you too little for your games, but there's nothing wrong with the used game market.

Of course, I also know I don't have to buy from Gamestop if I don't want to.

Blockbuster requires money, and time. What if you live in the middle of no where and need to drive/walk miles to get to the nearest blockbuster or gamestop? (I don't, but still.)

Why would I put myself in the hassle of renting a game I can get online?

What if I am the type of person who pirates the game to get a feel of it, and if I feel its worthy for my money, I will go buy the game? Still mean I'm not a gamer or what?

Well, lets see:

  1. You can say you pirate to demo only but I don't believe you.
  2. I'm not sure why you think you should always be able to get something for nothing.  Demos are privaleges, they aren't exactly a right.
  3. Do what everyone else does and read a review or ask someone that has played it.  I very rarely play demos yet I somehow always know what to expect.  How is that?  I read reviews and ask friends.  It's a simple concept.

1. I do it all the time. You should see my CD collection and my torrent collection. Pretty similar, I won't lie.

2. Demos are your product. For the amount f money people ask, they need to know what they are getting into. $50-$60 is a ridiculous amount for any entertainment. I can get the entire Godfather collection for 20 bucks and that's a better deal than any game out there. Might as well make the best of it.

3. I'd think that after reading these forum you'd know better than to say "just go with what others tell you about games."

Also, if you have ever sold a game used, then you are worse than ANY pirate, but I don't want to assume.

1 - If there is a demo to the game, I don't pirate it.

2 - Okay then, I will keep pirating games that don't have demos. If they are going to want people to buy their game, why not let people take a try at it..? Oh that would be foolish! It is OUR money we are giving them, right?

3 - I'd rather actually play the game myself, then to read another person's perspective on the game.
