Now people'll try to figure it out What a Zii is:

No, that’s not a typo. Nintendo filed a trademark for “Zii” in Japan for use with video games and other electronic devices.

Paperwork for the trademark went through on October 30, 2009 and just released in the Japanese trademark database today. Seems kind of late to protect Wii typos since the console is three years old…

You have to pronounce it with a (bad) french accent: it will be "THE" console of the future... maybe... :)

Now, if you say "Ze Zii", it means dick in french (zizi), so... who knows, it may be successful amongst the "hardcores", as they're acting like dicks in the last four years, lol...

But seriously, it can be anything, there are a lot of trademarks never used, and this may be no exception... we'll see...

Well, it does sound almost like "see" (not quite but close enough). And this could be just a name of the console or peripheral in Japan and international name would be different (it has happened before).

I doubt Nintendo could even make console or handheld called Zii in USA because Creative already has handheld device called Zii and they probably have trademarked the name there.

Big companies also trademarks names which they never use just in case. So this may not mean anything.
