I know FFXIII got somewhat watered down because of it being multiplat (but not by alot I don't think as 360 is also highly capable), but IF this crap turns out to be true about how badly it got watered down THEN I will hate 360. Until then....I'll borrow my friend's 360 to play gears 1 again :).

I've been doing that for nearly EVERY game i'm interested in. I go into threads titled like yours to hear about specs and gameplay mechanics. I watch PURELY gameplay videos only, and none about boss fights. 

it wouldn't make it less of a book but I would enjoy it less if i like the character and fully expect him to die. It's more enjoyable not knowing what happens. You may be fine knowing about crucial details in a game going in, but alot of us aren't. That's why the spoiler rule is there. Don't even try softening this. EVERYONE knows lightning is an important character to the story.
