I agree with some of this list, many of these games should of sold way better

"When it came time for Activision to make an obscene amount of money on Modern Warfare 2, it didn't want to leave the Wii out of the money parade. But we all know the Wii can't handle MW2, so instead Activision hired Call of Duty's pinch-hitter, Treyarch, to try its darnedest to cram 2007’s first Modern Warfare on the Wii. What did we end up with? A terribly controlled, ill-fitting mess that looked like it was covered in green vomit, with online support that is both laughable and sadly one of the better multiplayer options on the system. But thanks to confused parents, this will undoubtedly outsell Conduit via name recognition alone."

Okay, this loses the credibility of the article even more than somehow cramming in We Cheer and All-Star Cheerleaders to compare with Madworld.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

there is a difference between flopped and died at retail. Flopped means people actually had expectations for the game. Punchout, Murasama and Little King's Story have no business being on that list. Madworld, and Conduit are arguable. Deadly Creatures and Dead Space really did flop.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

I would agree with the list if they chose games in the same genre. Comparing Wii Cheer with Madworld is really pointless. All it shows is that MadWorld failed to find it's target market, while Wii Cheer entertained all the girls (and some boys like RubangB).

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit

I dont get all the hate on Valhalla Knights, i love that game

Nintendo is the best videogames company ever!

good article, i agree with all the examples except for punch out.

I kinda disagree with some of them (i.e. Madworld) while on others. Dead Space and Deadly Creatures deserved to flop, not because they were bad or they were niches or anything; but because they werent advertised at all! How in the hell are these developers expecting their products to sell if they dont spread the word about something that could possibly be good?.I give Sega kudos for advertising madworld, overkill, and the conduit (they didnt advertise them enough IMO) and they got decent numbers.

I dont know whats Punch-Out!! doing that list since its a franchise thats not as successfull compared to their other franchises well known series; yet it sill sold decent. Even nintendo didnt advertise excitebots which dissapoints me if they did it could've possibly reached excitetruck numbers.

They did a good job putting all the better Wii games on the list, such as Muramasa and Little King's Story. Its debatable whether they 'flopped' or not (such as Muramasa actually did better than expected), but they certainly didn't sell as well as the quality of their games should have allowed them too.

I just have one counter to this article however, and that's their inclusion of Punch-Out. That game in no way failed. Its sold almost 800,000 units so far, spawned a WiiWare sequel and the company already is pushing Nintendo for a second main game.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

well they deserved it, i mean not many wii owners are interested in dead space.. the fact that most of the wii owners doesnt even know wtf dead space story is about like me
