Forums - Nintendo - nintendo announces 2010 lineup (until like april)

Assuming that's similar to what Europe gets in Q1, I'm quite disappointed by Nintendo only releasing one Wii game in that quarter.

No More Heroes 2 is the only definite Wii purchase, and HeartGold my only DS purchase from that list. I'm interested in how Red Steel 2 will turn out. No Sin and Punishment 2 or Monster Hunter Tri is disappointing. Is there still a chance they will make it Q1?

Still, Q1 overall looks tasty-I'll be getting Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, FFXIII, NMH2 and HeartGold so long as I can afford them all.

We knew that they weren't going to release something like Galaxy 2 soon in the year. I'd peg that at Q2, and other games that showed up at E3 haven't even come out in Japan yet. It's Sin and Punishment's absence that worries me. Mayhap NoA will prove faithless after their numerous promises to release the game.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I think the list is not complete...

MH3 is supposed to launch on March and Sin and Punishment 2...

Mario Galaxy 2 for Q2? Oh no... I want it so bad...

After excitebots and Disaster, anything is likely.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I thought MH3 was supposed to be on March as well? So far missing in action are:
Sin & Punishment 2, Arc Rise Fantasia and MH3.

Arc Rise Fantasia was pushed to summer 2010.

List isn't final, S&P2 is still listed as Q1 2010 on Nintendo's Press site.  Likely March then.

Also missing is Trauma Team, Lost in Shadow and the Nicalis WiiWare games (Cave Story, La Mulana, Night Sky), though I'd expect at least one of those in 2009 yet.

Not a bad (although incomplete) list of games. Capcom still holds the crown as best 3rd party on the Wii. EA efforts look to be weak as usual. You can't spell 'weak' without EA. :)

Things that need to die in 2016: Defeatist attitudes of Nintendo fans

Monster Hunter 3 and Sin&Punishment 2 not coming out Q1, I can wait for them.

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, Red Steel 2, MegamMan 10, can't wait to own them all.

High Voltage's Gladiator A.D. is also coming out in the Q1 but they need to get a publisher first.
