I agree. Every Final Fantasy game is completely different from each other, the franchise is still very fresh (exlcuding the spin off games).

As long as they're still good, I'll still buy them.
So if Square wants it to last forever, I'd suggest they keep making them great.
I want that. I want to keep playing FF until I die. Just don't want to wait freaking long years for it.
I want a new FF every year, Just like in old PS1 days.

Holy shit , even i don't want this!
it will be soo soo overdoing it.
and also PS1 days there was a 2-3 years break between the games.
- Wasteland - The Mission.
Final Fantasy is just name/qaulity brand for a JRPG. Might as well call is SE JRPG and it would be the same thing regardless of the name. Outside of a few token gags that run through the series theres nothing that really makes it a franchise outside of the name.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
As long as they're good, I hope they keep making them.

I'd have nothing against Final Fantasy lasting as long as gaming does. But like outlaw said, as long as they're good.

Part of the problem with FF currently is its over-saturation. This gen alone we've had around 45+ 'Final Fantasy' games (that's roughly 9 a year). And while its been 4 1/2 years since the last 'main' title, it would be a LOT worse if we got them even sooner.
Even if they limited the games to only the main games (which fans would complain about), it would still seem like too much. Heck, people were complaining the series was getting out of control back on the PSX days, when we were only getting one main game and 1-2 side games a year. Pretty soon Kingdom Hearts is going to surpass the number of 'Final Fantasy' games released in the PSX...in one generation.
Square has put ALL its eggs in one basket. And to keep that basket warm, they have to keep adding more and more eggs.

You serious? 45+? ... That can't be right.
