Its no competition, so pot 1 will not go up against Pot 2. I just knew Mario or Pokemon would win anyway...

POT1: Gran Turismo (if you mean that "gaming wise" is "number of people who buy and play the games, which is logical).

POT2: Pokemon, probably. The sheer number of Pokemon games would suggest so and some of them sell like crazy.

EDIT: Why would you put Final Fantasy in pot 2? Unless it was Western and Japanese, because FF is tiny compared to the other behemoths in that group (Zelda too)

I thought Pot 1 looked pretty even as it was.

I'm judging this as the bigger franchise today, as opposed to biggest of all time.
