the game is only as hardcore as the player....and wii sports resorts is not hardcore...The wii is called the casual system for a reason...most its gamerz are casual, not hardcore, thats the demographic nintendo is hitting...since the  most of gamerz are not hardcore, most games on the wii arent.

No the main owner of the Wii is generally not a casual player.  Go look at the sales reports and you'll see this.  What the Wii has done is brought in other users in the same household which aren't regular gamers.  You can see this trend on the Nintendo Channel as well.  If the main owner of the Wii wasn't a "hardcore" player then their game times would be drastically different then what we've been seeing.

your source would be nice, but either way, the WII is the least played console...it is used the least and it hits every single person in the family when it comes to games and features...

the wii was made to bring in new players, casual players, and there is nothing wrong with that

Ninja Gaiden is a goddamned synonym to the word hardcore.

Someone has never played Galactic Civilizations 2 on its hardest setting.

All Nintendo games seem simple on the surface, that's the whole point and has been since Donkey Kong. The opening learning sequences are easy, all the rules are immediately presented, and if you want to dig deep enough you're going to be thoroughly brutalized.

That's why their games sell 15-20 million and everyone else sells 1.5-2 million.

Nintendo provides this info at every year end and mid year review.  You can look it up yourself.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

Then what happens?

@OP
so true. I've been playing the archery, and the only thing more hardcore than getting the stamps is not knowing what you have to do to get them!

Are you talking about shooting the hidden targets?

As far as I can tell, they are little watermelons that are nearly impossible to see or hit.
